Individual Therapy

Individual therapy teaches us healthy ways of processing and expressing emotions, dealing with other people (including our inner self), and coping with circumstances we can and cannot control. I offer a safe and confidential place to get support, insight, guidance, information, tools, resources and skills to manage the ups, downs and daily challenges of life. Typically, I meet with people 18+ on a weekly basis for 60 minutes, though due to scheduling needs and other factors, this may vary. Expecting weekly sessions is a good start, but we can discuss what works best for you.

Group Therapy

Group therapy helps people learn about themselves and improve their interpersonal relationships. It offers individuals an opportunity to gain new skills and process challenges in a therapeutic setting, while also learning with and from others who are dealing with similar challenges.

Current Groups:

Emerging Adulthood Group

Description: The Emerging Adulthood Group is a virtual small group of 6-8 participants who are about to or have recently graduated from undergrad or graduate school. Participants need to reside in MA and/or RI while attending the group. It is an ongoing support group with a focus on identifying and managing the demands of adulthood by exploring who you are and what you want out of life. Graduating college is a big life transition and sometimes intimidating as one’s identity shifts from college student to “real life adulting.” The group will normalize common fears/worries of leaving behind the familiar academic environment as well as navigate relationships (of all types). We will also explore self-care, boundary setting and adapting coping skills as you move through life’s transitions after college. Most importantly, our goal is to create an open and safe space for sharing experiences, getting feedback, and self-reflection.

Time: The group meets weekly on Tuesday evening from 7-8:15pm.

Cost: $45/session

Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision is an ongoing and evolving process that is designed to enhance your clinical and professional skills, knowledge, and attitudes in order to achieve competency in your professional identity and in providing quality clinical care. I use a Reflective supervision approach because I believe it is important to create space to reflect on your thoughts, feelings, and values and explore together how that informs clinical practice. Knowing that each person has a unique learning style, I believe it is important to accommodate your needs by ensuring that the you feel heard, supported and empowered throughout the process. Common areas of focus will be new ways of looking at challenging cases, identifying transference and countertransference issues, dealing with ethical dilemmas, work/life balance and the importance of self-care.

I am a LICSW in Massachusetts and enjoy supporting therapists who are working towards clinical licensure or who are looking for support and guidance around skills and professional development.  I meet the qualifications as an Approved Supervisor in Massachusetts.
